Helsinki Boat-Afloat Show (Uiva 2011 Flytande)

| August 9, 2011

If you intend to acquire a new boat for yourself or your family next summer, the Helsinki Boat-Afloat Show (Uiva 2011 Flytande) to be held August 18-21 offers an excellent opportunity to make a deal. The show will feature the very latest models from the country’s major boat manufacturers and importers. The total number of exhibited boats is about 300. The autumn show is also an opportune time to order a new boat for delivery the following summer. For those who intend overhauling their boats during the coming autumn and spring, a visit to the boat-afloat show is certainly worthwhile since the most significant enterprises in the field will be participating.

In addition to boat and equipment displays, the Helsinki Boat-Afloat Show will feature many peripheral events.

These include the already familiar displays by Helsinki Police Department, the Gulf of Finland division of the Finnish Coast Guard, and the Finnish Lifeboat Institution. Finnish Sailing and Boating Association will organise a Knot school for children. Also the Archipelago doctors (Saaristolääkärit) will again attend the show.

For the 11th time, the previously very well received test drives will again be organised by Kippari magazine. During the show the public will have an opportunity to test drive some of the motorboats on display.
