42th International Boat Show Düsseldorf

| December 9, 2010

42nd edition of boot Düsseldorf, the world’s largest yacht and watersports trade fair, which will be welcoming yachting and watersports enthusiasts from all over the world to explore its exhibition halls from 22 to 30 January 2011. After a difficult year 2009, the mood in the international watersports industry has improved significantly. The positive trend is reflected in a lively demand for exhibition space. More than 1,550 exhibitors from 50 countries will be premiering their latest highlights, new watersports equipment and maritime services in 17 halls at boot 2011. “All the signs go to show that our visitors can expect an event that leaves nothing to be desired in terms of variety, quality and internationality. Our customers in Germany and abroad trust boot implicitly and are concentrating their activities on the Düsseldorf trade fair venue. The available hall space is very well booked,” says Goetz-Ulf Jungmichel, Director of boot Düsseldorf.

Some 600 exhibitors come from outside Germany and will occupy almost half of the total exhibition space. The Netherlands are traditionally the most strongly represented nation among the non-German exhibitors, and 160 Dutch companies have booked a net space of almost 10,000 square metres. Also well represented are France with 65 exhibitors, Italy (50), Austria (40) and the UK with 30 participants.

Boot 2011 will feature an exceptional display of boats and yachts. Around 1,700 boat types of all sizes will be on view in eleven exhibition halls – an unparalleled number for an indoor exhibition. From dinghies to canoes, small sports boats to large yachts – there is a dream boat for everyone in Düsseldorf.

The demand for exhibition space for sports boats and motor yachts up to 20 metres in length has stabilised. Some exhibitors have substantially expanded their presentations compared with the previous year. A total of 250 boat yards, dealers and importers will present the leading international marques in motor boat sports in halls 4 to 6, 9, 10 and 15. Proving exceptionally successful is the special “Holland Yachts & Boats” show in Hall 15, where exhibitors from The Netherlands make their debut.
